Description

Caring for patients with cancer can be challenging, especially for new oncology nurses or those working outside of cancer care. This introductory course provides a foundation for providing care to patients experiencing a cancer diagnosis, treatment complications or trouble coping. 

Complete redesign of the content includes:

  • Information about genetics, new treatment strategies, cancer disparities, and symptom management
  • Integration of interactive learning and printable resources
  • Reorganization of the content into smaller modules so learners can plan their approach to completing the course
  • Addition of learning checkpoint questions throughout the entire course to reinforce content

The Oncology Nursing Society is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Course Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your online course registration, you must notify ONS within 30 days of the purchase date and prior to beginning the course.  No cancellation will be accepted after the course has been accessed or after the 30-day purchase window.  

Request a cancellation via email to help@ons.org. If your request is eligible, ONS will issue a monetary refund equal to the cost of the course registration minus a 30% cancellation fee.
